With 15 years of involvement in nonprofit organizations, she brings valuable expertise in project management and community engagement. Her mentoring approach focuses on empowering individuals to become impactful community members, offering tailored guidance, resources, and practical advice. Maureen holds an MSC in Marketing and strives to enhance mentees' leadership skills, communication strategies, and understanding of community needs. Through her commitment to social causes, she aims to make a lasting positive impact on individuals and the community as a whole.
George W. Kalanzi
George is an experienced and dedicated mentor with a passion for guiding and supporting individuals in their personal and professional development. With over 25 years of experience as a Chartered Engineer, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the mentorship program. In addition, he has actively volunteered within the Ugandan community for over 20 years, demonstrating his commitment to giving back and helping others. He has a special interest in mentoring young adults, fostering their growth and encouraging them to explore their potential in various fields, including engineering.
Juliet M. Adsett
Julie is a passionate mentor with a unique combination of skills. She holds dual Honours degrees in Finance & Banking and Community Development, Leadership & Criminology, giving her both financial expertise and a deep understanding of social issues.
Julie's professional background includes working in finance, investment, and housing policy, as well as extensive experience in fundraising and charity work. She also brings significant expertise from her time in local authority children's services, where she directly supported young people facing complex challenges. This includes helping with mental health, safeguarding, child sexual exploitation (CSE), substance misuse, homelessness, county lines risks, and educational needs for care leavers.
Julie is committed to partnering with various organizations to improve outcomes for young people. She’s passionate about using both her financial knowledge and her experience in providing holistic support to empower vulnerable youth. Julie believes in transforming adversity into opportunity and equipping the next generation to build brighter futures.
